DEAF FRIENDLY BUSINESS CERTIFICATION

DFB seal.png

A deaf-friendly business has received a certificate of completion from BIS for training on Deaf culture and the Deaf community, including learning about cultural differences and how to work with an interpreter. The alphabet and basic signs are also taught to management and staff. To receive deaf friendly certification from BIS, businesses agree to provide on-site interpreters when possible and use a VRI system otherwise.
